OK, so I know it's a corny name. I had to call it something.

I realised recently that many C1 websites have been taken down, and their downloads subsequently lost. I know of two main download sites still remaining: Tazzman's Creatures Universe and Norntropolis, both of which have a wide range of cobs with descriptions.

This site will hopefully be a complement to the above; the aim is to provide as many downloads as possible, but also provide links to those sites which are still running. CObs have been made available on this site for one of two reasons: the owner has given permission or the owner cannot be contacted. In those cases where I have a good e-mail address for an author but they did not reply or denied consent, only the COb name and a link to their website is provided. If you see one of your files for download here but want it removed, please e-mail me and I'll remove it.

I'm hoping this site will also give me some impetus to get the latest cobdata file and database done. The database once finished will provide information on the actual effects of each COb - not always what the author had in mind, to judge from the readme files!

Finding the CObs:

If the COb name is a link (underlined, pale green text) then clicking this link will download the file. If it is not a link (not underlined, white text) you must click the http: link (under the 'Also available at' heading) which will take you to another site to download the file. If an author's name is underlined, clicking it will take you to the Authors Details page, which will tell you if they have a current website and/or e-mail. Author details are not always available. If anyone else can think of a better way of setting this out please tell me!
