That's a long time to wait for an update! Today I realised the existence of the Creatures Wiki, and also realised that the existing contact e-mail for me on this site was out of date, so I have updated it - and realised how much of this site never got done! Is anyone still playing original Creatures, I wonder? One day I may get this site done to a reasonable degree, though I doubt it... no plans to remove it though.

21^st June 2004
#1: Added the other 2 of Steve's cobs, creating the 'Cannon' and 'Vendors - Animals' sections to do so! Not as trivial as it sounds - I no longer have the font installed that I used to create the graphical headings, so I had to cobble them together from other graphics. You can't see the join...

#2: Tweaked the authors' page to remove out-of-date information, and uploaded most of Jeff D's and Dr §mile's cobs, though I couldn't get in touch with either of them. There are 30 cobs in total: a herb, a musical instrument, animals, foods, toys, soothing things and food and drink vendors. This brings the total on the site to 399.

18^th June 2004
Added another 11 of Steve Dismukes' cobs - will have to create two new categories for the other 2! Also did some tweaking of alt tags on images.

15^th June 2004.
Added a dozen new food CObs, 4 toys and a bigtoy.

Changed all pages to the new colour - this is the colour I always thought this site was, but I was fooled by a dodgy monitor. The darker green should be a bit easier on the eye.

11^th June 2004.
Added an updated Statcounter (to give page hits) along with the CQ Counter (just traffic monitoring).

8^th June 2004.
All pages updated with new (hopefully working) links. Dead e-mail addresses and links removed. New contact details added.

This is a joke, isn't it? Basically, real life interfered big time: I was made redundant, I got married, moved house twice in 4 months, had health problems, and have been looking at starting my own business. Also decided to let the old domain go which meant I had no-where to store files for a while. But displacement activity is a wonderful thing, and doing this site means I don't have to do the other one I'm supposed to be doing! :) Yes, the plan is still to update this site a bit more, but for the time being I'll just be re-creating the site that used to be on Demon and fixing any links that might have gone kersplat during the past 18 months. I think my old monitor must've had something wrong with it, looking at the pages on a state-of-the-art 19" that green background colour is foul - why did nobody tell me?! So I will sort out the colours and related graphics at some point too.

7^th December 2002.
Oh, ubggre. As you can tell from the updates (or lack thereof) there's been a serious amount of Real Life getting in the way this year (see the livejournal for details). I've just now started on the updates I meant to do months ago, there will be another site update within the next 2 weeks (promise!) but will probably be in the form of a number of COb files, rather than the COb packs which are still giving me trouble. A friend has also made me a present of some software which should make the job of adding pics to this site easier - that's a longer-range thing though, and won't appear until the new year sometime.

1^st April 2002.
Added CObs by Amanita Perne and Anne Gregory - also a couple of Freya's which had slipped through the net. Next major update to the site will be to add COb packs, hopefully this will be this month some time. Watch this space!

3^rd March 2002.
Added 17 utility files and one vendor. Removed Darcie's Rainbow Cheese vendor as it was causing Creatures to hang - thanks to Coleen for pointing that out. Finally worked out how many CObs I've got total - something like 630! This site could take some time to finish...

No update for yonks - this is what happens when real life gets in the way. Added most of Matthew Hayes' CObs (15 total). Finally started updating cobdata again! :-)

9^th February 2002.
Phew! All the CObs I've checked for the new cobdata file are now up, with the exception being where I've not received the OK from people to publish them. I'm working on that.
Also fixed a number of inaccuracies and broken links, also tidied the code up a bit. I'll try to get some more CObs up next weekend, always assuming that I can get them checked in the week.

Added the robots.txt file to the site to try to stop e-mail addresses being harvested. Added a total of 14 files to 'Herbs' and 'Drink'. Fixed a broken link on one of the menu bars. Changed a number of external links to open in new browser windows. CyberLife have requested that I not place any of their files on this site, so I'll just put links to them where required.

4^th February 2002.
Decided to take LummoxJR and Spirit at their word and put the files of both on the website, as I couldn't contact either. Added 17 new files to the 'animals' section. Added a counter.

3^rd February 2002.
The 'vendors' section is now working. All links on the site should work, with a total of 224 COb files and one link (to Ali Maggs' site).

2^nd February 2002.
The site goes 'live', though not all the downloads are linked yet. The downloads are restricted to the ones I know I've checked on the latest version of the cobdata file. Many thanks at this point due to all the bods who've allowed me to put their CObs on this site (clue: mainly the ones with up-to-date contact info on the Authors page!). Bizarrely (is that a real word?) last night I was checking one of the webrings for contact info and I came across a couple of sites full of CObs I've never seen before - such is life! :-) They'll be added into cobdata (and onto this site, author willing) in the near future, ie. whenever I have the time. As I now have a laptop (admittedly the company's, not mine) I may try to do some cobdata updates on the train into work, instead of just sleeping as I usually do. No promises though...
